Manuel A Herrera

Manuel Herrera, a long-time resident of Hobbs, NM, died on April 28, 2023 at the age of 84 surrounded by his family.

Manuel is survived by his wife, Molly Herrera; his son, Tony Herrera and his wife Lorie; two grandsons, Anthony Herrera and Nikolas Herrera; four great grandsons, Aiden, Ethan, Nylan and Nyzia; sister, Celia Valdez,. He is preceded in death by his father and mother, Francisco Juarez, Rosa Albidrez Herrera; eight brothers, Juan Herrera, Eloy Herrera, Jose Herrera, Hipolita Herrera, Frank Herrera, Greg Herrera, Robert Herrera and Osvaldo Herrera; two sisters Gloria Carrasco, Carolin Ramos.

Manuel was born in Sierra Blanca on September 02, 1938 to Francisco Juarez Herrera and Rosa Albidrez Herrera. Married his beloved wife Molly Herrera in 1957 and welcomed their first and only son Tony Herrera in 1958. Manuel worked as a pumper for Oxy for numerous years then retiring to spend time with family and friends.

Manuel was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He enjoyed camping, hunting and spending time with his family and friends. His grand children and great grandchildren were the light of his life. He loved working around the house and keeping his vehicles clean and shiny. He was a spiritual man and attended St. Helena's Catholic Church. Manuel always had a smile on his face that brightened everyone's day. He will be deeply missed by his friends, family, and all who knew him.
