Sidney Vanzandt

We are sad to announce the passing of Sidney Dwayne Vanzandt of Hobbs, New Mexico. As the father of 4 and the youngest of 6, his life did not come to an end with his death. Sidney passed away on March 27, 2023, at the age of 52. Raised in Hobbs, Sidney went to Hobbs High School and dominated the courts and field in basketball, track, and football. He went on to obtain his barber license and be a caretaker to his mother.

Sidney was preceded in death by his father: Mack Charles Vanzandt and his sister: Brenda Gail Vanzandt-Smith. Sidney leaves 4 children: Kassandra Inglehart (Lloyd Inglehart), Ahsika Sims, Whitney Marsh, and Caleb Weldy; 4 siblings: Georgia Tate, Kenneth Williams, Patricia Hutchings (Charles Hutchings), and Jimmi Baker; and a mother: Georgia Vanzandt.
